Feeling Good – The Good Life of a Cow

ProAgria Northern Finland

The Feeling Good project aims to bridge the knowledge gap between producers and consumers while providing both parties with practical, tested, and well-documented information to support informed decision-making.

To achieve this goal, the project highlights and tests new innovations and ideas − both from Finland and abroad − alongside existing practices.

Project Actions

Together with 15 pilot farms and an expert network, the project will:
• Examine dairy farm processes from the consumer’s perspective
• Identify opportunities rather than restrictions from a consumer viewpoint
• Develop effective communication channels that enable genuine interaction and reduce the communication gap
• Compile comparative data on production efficiency and outcomes while developing practical operational models
• Learn and improve new working methods in small groups
• Share best practices via social media, events, and direct interactions between producers and consumers
• Ensure that the tested operational models can be adopted beyond the project group

Maitoalan huippuseminaari 2026

How can we build a dairy industry that is profitable while creating a sustainable future for both animals and people? This question will be explored together at Maitoalan huippuseminaari at Oulu on 24–25 November 2026.

The event is part of the Arctic Dairy Wellness Week, an international event that combines world-class dairy expertise, networking opportunities, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Maitoalan huippuseminaari also serves as the closing seminar of the Feeling Good – The Good Life of a Cow -project.
