This page presents the most recent material regarding the use of gypsum, soil improvement fibres, and structure lime, as well as their benefits for farmers and the environment. Soil improvement agents offer tools for ensuring the vitality of farmland and preventing eutrophication in nearby water bodies.

The material has been prepared in cooperation between the KIPSI (GYPSUM), KUITU (FIBRE) and Rakennekalkki (Structure Lime) projects. More information about different soil improvement agents, their use and research is available on each project’s website. This project is part of the Water Protection Programme launched by the Ministry of the Environment.
Gypsum, fibre, and structure lime guide for farmers
The gypsum, fibre, and structure lime guide for farmers presents different soil improvement agents, their impact on soil, practical issues to be considered, and the resulting benefits. In addition to farmers, the practical guide is intended for specialists in agriculture, advisors, and everyone interested in water protection.
