Strengthening Activities of Private Farmers’ and Rural Women’s Associations
Pihkova Oblast, Russia 2009-2010
The project aims at creating preparedness for voluntary organisational actions trough strengthening Activities of Private Farmers’ and Rural Women’s Associations in Pihkova Oblast. The project can also be an example for new cooperation projects in the Pihkova Oblast.
The object of the project is to strengthen the cooperation between private farmers and the organisations like leading association of private farmer “Fermer Association”, district administrations, regional administrations and educational etc. organisations. The project offers education, consultation and study trips between Pihkova Oblast and East Finland to reach out the objects.
The actions are organized by ProAgria South Karelia. There have also been used the expertise of communities and different rural organisations and representatives in the arrangements of the actions. Networking is an essential object in the project.
The project is managed by ProAgria South Karelia and is financed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, the resources of neighbouring area cooperation.
